This video clip shows you how to setup email in Ubuntu for an existing email account.

To get started, determine your email provider's POP and SMTP mail servers. For example, for Google's Gmail, these are pop.gmail.com and smtp.gmail.com
Some web-based email providers (i.e. Gmail) require that you enable POP forwarding in your account settings.
